The Sterling Alaska Railroad GP-30  page

This was my favorite GP unit on the Alaska Railroad. It was different enough with the rounded cab roof line and styled roof fairings that made it unique from the other units.

GP30 2000 was bought new by the ARR in 1963.

In 1974 #2000 was rebuilt as a GP30u and renumbered to 2504.
