1000 - 1945 -
One day while my brother and I were at the Anchorage passenger station
taking photos of the passenger train an elderly (to us at that time)
gentleman approached us and wanted to show us some pictures that he had
taken while he was in the Army during World War 2. He told us a little
about the time he spent taking photos with his box camera of the ARR and
told us we were doing the same thing he used too. He then surprised us
and gave us "the best of his ARR pictures that he took back then" and
then hurried to get on the train for his trip. His name was Clayton C
Tinkham. Collection of Stewart Sterling |
